Authors Page
At Appledorn, we are always interested in hearing
about new ideas to improve life.  If you have an
idea for a book or report, send us a note and tell
us about what you have in mind.  Contact us and
we'll reply and ask you to look over our
guidelines shown below:

We accept query letters through email or regular
mail, but we do not accept manuscripts unless
we request them. When you send us a query
letter, please briefly describe your book and its
market, and explain why you think it would be of
interest to readers.

There are many ways to provide information to
the public, and books are just one form.  As you
explore your ideas for improving living, consider
whether they would best be presented in book,
report or audiotalk form.
Submission Guidelines:

1. Research your idea.  Talk to your friends, relatives, people in the
area of interest and measure their reactions.  Look for already
published titles in the same area with major booksellers.  Read
current titles to get a sense of thinking in the field.

2. Outline  your book and make a table of contents.  Identify ten
groups of people who would be interested in your book and willing to
purchase it.

3. Compare your book to others in the field and do a chart of
similarities and differences.  Identify the unique contribution that your
book will make.

4. Send us a query letter, preferably by email and give us your
answers to the questions above.

5. If your idea fits with our publishing program, we will ask to see the
first four chapters.  We will ask you to include a self-addressed
envelope with sufficient postage to return your materials should  your
project not be selected for publication.  We reserve the right to
destroy all materials for which no provisions for return are made
upon submission.

6.  Please do not submit original copies of any works.  We cannot be
responsible for proposals that are lost or damaged.  Please send only
duplicate copies for consideraiton.  Please allow 3-6 months for a
response.
